دورة التخطيط المتكامل للمستقبل للأطباء المصريين (تخصص + بلد العمل) هي دورة موجهة في الاساس لطلبة كليات الطب وأيضا للأطباء الذين تخرجوا في السنوات الاخيرة من الجامعات المصرية. تعد هذه المرحلة في حياة الأطباء مرحلة اتخاذ القرارات الكبيرة المرتبطة بمستقبلهم المهني، والقرارات الكبيرة هنا تتضمن أين سيعمل الطبيب وماذا سيعمل الطبيب.. أي تتضمن مكان العمل سواء الدولة أو المؤسسة داخل الدولة التي سيعمل بها الطبيب وتتضمن التخصص المحدد الذي سيتخصص به الطبيب.
بالنسبة لجزئية أين سيعمل الطبيب:
نتناول المكان على مستوى البلد الذي سيعيش به الطبيب علما بأن الطبيب المصرى عادة يختار بين ثلاثة انواع رئيسية من البلاد وهي مصر أو البلاد الغربية أو البلاد العربية، وبالنسبة للعمل في مصر بالتحديد، نتناول العمل في مصر على مستوى المؤسسة المعينة التي سيعمل بها الطبيي والاختيارات هنا تتضمن اختيارات المؤسسة الحكومية مثل جامعة او جيش او شرطة او وزارة صحة أو طبيب حر، وتتضمن ايضا العمل في القطاع الطبي الخاص وبالأخص العيادة الطبية الخاصة. في جزئية أين سيعمل الطبيب، نتحدث عن كل بلد، سواء مصر أو البلاد الغربية أو البلاد العربية، مع ذكر المميزات التي تزكيها والعيوب التي تجعل هناك نوع من التحفظ عليها. ونقوم بعمل نفس الشىء ايضا فيما يخص انواع المؤسسات المختلفة داخل مصر من جامعة إلى جيش وشرطة إلى وزراة صحة إلى طبيب حر وأيضا إلى قطاع طبي خاص وبالتحديد عيادة طبية خاصة.
بالنسبة لجزئية ماهو التخصص الذي سيتخصصه الطبيب:
فالطبيب بعد التخرج يتجه في واحد من ثلاثة اتجاهات: واحد: سيعمل كطبيب ممارس لمهنة الطب الإكلينيكي (كلينشيان)، او سيعمل كطبيب ولك غير ممارس لمهنة الطب الإكلينيكي والمجالات هنا كثيرة ومنها التخصصات الطبية الأكاديمية والتعليم الطبي وادارة المستشفيات والتأمين الطبي وغيرها. ثلاثة: سيترك مجال الطب ويعمل في مجالات أخرى ليس لها أي علاقة بدراسة الطب.
في هذه الجزئية من الدورة، نقوم بخلق هيكل عام من المعلومات التي تساعد الطبيب على معرفة المقومات والمتطلبات اللازمة لكل اتجاه من هذه الاتجاهات المهنية وايضا تساعده على اتخاذ قراره لنفسه.
بالإضافة للمكان الذي يعمل به الطبيب والتخصص الذي يمتهنه، تبدأ دورة التخطيط للمستقبل بمعلومات واساسيات عامة عن المسار المهنى للأطباء، وعن أسباب الرضا عن العمل أو الوظيفة، وعن أسباب أو مقومات السعادة في الحياة، والحديث في هذا الجزء كثير منه عام ويسرى على الطبيب وغير الطبيب، وتنتهي الدورة بتحليل لشخصية الطالب الذي يحضر الدورة مع توضيح أمثلة للتأثير الكبير الذي تؤثره تركيبة شخصية الطبيب وميوله على ما يتخذه فعلا من قرارات في حياته المهنية، ولذلك فمن الأفضل دائما أن تكون لدينا دراية وافية بطبيعة شخصيتنا حتى نسهل على أنفسنا إتخاذ القرارات التي تناسبنا، بدل من أن نضيع الوقت بإتخاذ قرارات في الأغلب مرتبطة بتوقعات الناس الذين نعيش بينهم وهذا يحدث كثيرا طبعا، ونكتشف بعد ذلك أننا متعسرين في حياتنا ونحتاج لإتخاذ قرارات تصحيحية بعد سنوات للعودة للإتجاه الصحيح أو الأنسب لنا ولنجاحنا.

This is the first video of the course and describes how the course is structured. It also explains why the course is targeting Egyptian post graduates in particular. It highlights the very important fact that the course provider in no part of the course is directing students in a particular direction. He is only presenting the different options available at any station in your future career with its pros and cons.
The video describes the road map of the course. After an introduction about career satisfaction and happiness in life factors, the course proceeds to address two important questions that form the main body of the course. The first one is where you will be living and the options here are Egypt, the West or the Gulf countries. Knowing the basis of making the decision in theme of this part of the course rather than biasing the attendees to any particular destination. The second question is what you will be doing and the options here include working as a clinician or working as a doctor but not as a clinicians or quitting medicine. The course ends with a personality assessment which is the one dominant factor that plays a big role in most of the major decisions you make in your life and not only in your career.
Apart from individual factors and individual variations, there are kind of common universal things that apply to most humans that make humans happy in their life and others that make humans happy about their life. Those different types of factors are discussed.
Job satisfaction is about the major factors that make you motivated to work in a particular job. We call those factors intrinsic motivators. If you have an intrinsic motivator, you will likely still stick to your job and career even if you are getting less pay or are suffering of adverse work conditions. However, there is a limit to adversaries you might face.
This video is about the critical station of graduation from medical school and how it compares to the earlier station of ending high school and choosing the college. If choosing college was about the next 5 years of your life, choosing your career is about the next 50 years of your life. It is more important here to really make the decisions that are right for you and to know the basis of making those right decisions.

When doctors started to study medicine after they had finished high school, each of them had only one vision for what they will be doing after they graduate from medical school. That was to be a clinician in the end. However, you need to make sure that your psychological make up and readiness actually matches with the job of being a clinician. Not all those who studied medicine were actually made to be clinicians.
If doctors realize they have the one basic requisite needed to work as clinicians as explained in the video "Am I made to be clinician", they now need to get familiar with the complete list of requisites for working as clinicians and to approve the list to make sure that working as clinicians really is the best choice for them. If not, they can choose another career from among a long list of specialties that are related to their medical education but that are not clinical jobs at the same time.
Many fresh graduates consider the clinical specialties to be either internal medicine or surgery with the subspecialties of each. This is not true. There are five categories of clinical specialties and each of them requires a specific personality and psychological makeup.

Practicing medicine in the private practice in Egypt poses very peculiar challenges to doctors. Private clinics in Egypt typically are two types. The first one is clinics providing high quality of care for pennies; those are the clinics of young doctors who just started their private practice and do not know how to run the business successfully. The second type is clinics of rather known doctors who will see quite a large number of patients per day and make really high incomes but provide very limited time for each patient. This makes the overall service provided in those clinics quite mediocre. The two types of clinics are a failure. Possible more successful options are proposed and discussed in this video.
