Planning Your Future After High School

The course addresses high school students. The story of this course started when Dr. Hatem was invited in 2014 to the high school of one of his sons to give a talk on career day where selected parents are invited to talk about their professions to school students. The talk was very successful and the students bonded so much with Dr. Hatem. The school invited Dr. Hatem for more talks about planning for the future career for the school students and Dr. Hatem was more than happy to prepare and give those talks. This is how this course came into existence. The original name of the event was "Who am I? Where am I going? How I will get there? And Notes about the road to get there".

The course presents the important types of analyses that each school student needs to make to his own personality to discover what he really wants from his life and from a future career and thereafter make the choice of a career. It also describes the importance of principles in one's life and how they light the path of our lives. It is not about getting what we want in our lives as much as it is about how we get what we want in our lives. The course ends with a series of general advices for the future that Dr. Hatem gives to his students from his personal experience as a physician, writer and public speaker.
